ACER Scholarship Tests

ACER (Australian Council for Educational Research) is registered international leader in the development and provision of high quality assessment and reporting tools and services.

There are mainly 2 testing program used by private schools in Victoria.

  • Corporative Scholarship Testing Program – test is held with one set of test papers shared by the participating schools. Cooperative test is held on one day and candidates can register with more than one school in order of the schools a candidate has registered with
  • Alternative Date Scholarship Testing Program – test is written for only on school. This type of tests are usually conducted from mid – February to mid – March.

Primary (Level P) tests

For entry into Years 7 to 12.

  • Level 1: Mathematics (multiple choice, 40 minutes)
  • Levels 2 and 3: Mathematics and Science (multiple choice, 40 minutes)

Delivery: Paper based

Secondary (Levels 1, 2 and 3)

Edu Scholarship Tests

The Ability tests

Ability tests are designed to measure a child’s ability to think, reason and solve problems, without necessarily relying on prior knowledge. Ability generally predicts how quickly a child will be able to learn and the level of complexity that they can comfortably deal with.

The Achievement tests

Achievement tests are designed to measure actual achievement or performance in some key academic areas. Achievement scores are influenced by a child’s ability, as well as the application and practise of knowledge that has been learned.
